Cansat 2013 Progress

Our Cansat 2013 project ‘CarltoSat’  has considerable progress from the time of our last post.  We are done with the mechanical system design and came up with a design model. We submitted project PDR(preliminary Design Review) to the competition Judging panel.  We are about to give an interview to the NASA judging panel next week. I thank robotics club, Carleton Mech. and Aero. society, CUSA, Carleton student Eng. Society and all our well wishers for their financial and moral support.

Keep supporting us!!

Call For Sponsors

Hello Sponsors,

Currently we are approaching to our ‘prototype testing stage’ of Cansat Project, and going forward with great pace.  We request the support of companies out there especially MNCs  working in  electrical and electronics, Mechanical, and systems Engineering industries. Although encouragement from non technical firms are also anticipated. Our team is a group of highly aspiring, talented and passionate students looking forward to a drastic revolution in aerospace industry. Supporting us help us to give most out of us and keep us boosted and fueled for future space projects and build our confidence.  The foreseen funding from sponsors is $9000. This includes the travel and stay expenses of the team to attend conference and competition which will be held in Texas, US on June 2013.

To  express our gratitude towards our sponsors we have prepared  a few advertising packages, which can be seen with the ‘Sponsorship Package’ that you can dowload from the link given below. The sponsorship package also gives you a better idea on what we are working on, how effective it will be and how you can benfit from us. Package can be downloaded from the following link -

Hello everyone

Our cansat team ‘CUSAT  2013′   is proceeding very well and people are coming up with new great ideas.  We are overwhelmed with thoughts to choose the best one out of it and how to make use of them.  Still it is a great feeling when you get something new from someone beneficial to the project. Our mechanical and structural team is getting into more pace with their work. We wish there’ll lot more people to encourage us and to support us in all aspects.

Thank you for your support

It was an awesome moment to see more enthusiastic and passionate people in our general robotics meeting and also in Cansat meeting followed by it. We would like to thank you all for showing up and hope you all had a great time hearing about the projects that we are on and by networking with people having similar interests. Don’t forget to do the follow up and to get involved. Make your ideas come to reality and get a chance to express yourself. Take your chance to get entries in your CCR and also to get experience in your field of interest. We encourage any kind of involvement both being in our robotics project and also outside of it.
Hope to see you all in our upcoming meetings, events and workshops.

Good luck and thanks once again.

The vast scope of ROBOTICS in future. How can you be a part of it?

Hello everyone,

As you all had probably known, we’ll be having a introductory meeting to all newbies to robotics,  today at 5:30pm in Uni Centre 513. The meeting is about to make students involved in various projects ongoing  in CURC like Cansat, 3pi, Quadcpter.  Students who are passionate about robotics and various fields involved in it like electronics, electrical, Mechanics, Structuring, software programming, hardware are the people who can make noticeable changes in robotics. Integration and implementation  of these branches makes the robotics into real life. So we are in search of more people who can dedicate their knowledge, aspirations and willingness towards these robotic projects to make them a huge success.  Robotics is such a marvelous industry which we’ll see to have a big boom in the near future were everything is transforming to automation. So I wish everyone good luck and to make yourself boosted and motivated.

See you all there.

Cansat progress Update.

Congrats to all members worked for Cansat in summer. We are progressing quickly on our tasks comparing to the previous year attempts. As soon as the electronics team finishes their work, the ‘mechanical and structural’(MAS) team would be able to start building their final structure and integrate it with the electronic components for it’s mechanical functioning. Webcam integration related bugs were cleared and is ready to work. The mechanical structure is in discussion and the model structure will be posted soon. Keep updated.

Closed old repo

We had to change to repo’s location due to privacy issues. It is now bitbucket hosted as opposed to github. The above link had been changed to reflect this major change.
